Particular attention is required to care for the baby’s umbilical wound. Usually the dried process of the umbilical cord disappears 3 days after birth. But the wound itself heals a little longer – up to 1 month. To avoid infection, this area must be treated twice a day – during the morning toilet and after bathing in the evening. First, the wound is wiped with a cotton swab moistened with hydrogen peroxide, after which the residual peroxide is carefully removed with water and the wound is lubricated with green.
It is not necessary to bathe a child every day, enough a couple of times a week. The legs are first dropped into the water, and then the whole body of the newborn. You can use only special products for bathing babies. After bathing the child should be wrapped in a soft diapers, but in no case should be wiped so as not to damage the skin. You can lubricate the entire body of the baby after bathing with special baby oil or moisturizing cream.
On the days when the baby does not bathe, you can simply wash it. IMPORTANT: to wash babies, especially girls, can only be frontly back so as not to bring dirt and infection to the genitals.
Once a week, it is necessary to trim the nail to the child with special children’s scissors with stupid rounded tips. It is also necessary to regularly clean the ears. To do this, use special cotton pads with limiters. The child is cleaned with cotton flagella and washed with saline.
During certain bath procedures, begin to contact a child by name so that he begins to get used to him as early as possible.
