Healthy food for breakfast is the subject of scientific research. For example, pediatricians from the USA analyzed the health of 600 schoolchildren and noticed that students who had breakfast twice (at home and in the school cafeteria) were less likely to become obese, were less likely to get sick, and had better grades.
Research was also conducted in Russia that helped establish the importance of morning meals. Scientists assessed the eating habits of students at the famous Peoples’ Friendship University (RUDN University), and compared their weight and diet. It turned out that among students who do not eat breakfast, almost a quarter are overweight young men and women. Among those who regularly eat breakfast, the proportion of people with increased body weight is much smaller – only 3.7%.
American researchers have proven the benefits of breakfast for the cardiovascular system. They monitored almost 27 thousand men from 45 to 82 years old. It turned out that among those who are against regular breakfasts, there are 27% more people with coronary heart disease than in the group of subjects who regularly eat in the morning.
The results of 54 studies were also studied. According to them, breakfasts strengthen memory and increase concentration throughout the day.
