Why you don’t want to have breakfast in the morning and how to fix it

Why do many people simply not want to eat and prefer to go to work or school or do their daily chores at home without eating? The first reason is the lack of hunger, which can be associated with evening or, especially, nighttime overeating.

If you eat before going to bed, then during the hours of rest the body simply does not have time to process a large portion of food. In the morning you feel a feeling of heaviness and do not feel hungry: it occurs only at lunch or even in the evening. And such a diet can lead to a vicious circle. If a person does not eat or snacks all day, then in the evening he arranges a real “feast of the stomach”, eating a lot. Of course, in this case, you do not want to have breakfast.

The second reason for the lack of desire to have breakfast is physiological characteristics. Some people need a certain time to switch from rest mode to a state of wakefulness. Such people literally feel disgust for food in the morning and feel hungry only 1-2 hours after waking up or after physical activity, for example, exercise, jogging.

The third reason is the habit of drinking coffee on an empty stomach. The caffeine contained in such a drink first stimulates the secretion of gastric juice and the activity of the nervous system, and then inhibits them. The desire to eat disappears for a long time, especially if a person drinks several cups of coffee in the first half of the day.
