Hello, dear readers of the blog of a smart buyer. Today we will try the sausages “Tiger” of the Yatranchik trademark. Currently, sausages have become an indispensable product in order to eat when you hurry to work in the morning or quickly quench the feeling of hunger when dinner is preparing. In general, we all love this product, but sometimes we still buy low -quality sausages. Now let’s understand whether it is worth buying a product tasted today or not.

6. Ingredients: meat (pork is semi-fat and low-fat, beef of the first and highest grade), chicken meat, dry cow’s milk, kitchen salt, chicken eggs, spicy-aromatic mixture (E-450, E-452 stabilizers), spices (white pepper, spice, spice cardamon), dextrose, antioxidant E-300, spices extracts (black pepper, nutmeg, nutmeg, fragrant pepper), sodium nitrite.
We look. It seems to be quite happy with the appearance of a spacious-aromatic mixture. E-450 and E-452 stabilizers (allowed in Ukraine and Russia) are polyphosphates that are used mainly in the meat processing industry in order to maintain moisture in the product. Perhaps that is why sausages are juicy. And what, without these stabilizers in no way? I don’t know, but, according to some reports, if you overdo it with the dose of these polyphosphates in the product, you can get a serious stomach disorder.
We go further. Dextrose is natural sucrose, but also when the norm is exceeded, it can harm the human body. The E-300 antioxidant is nothing more than ascorbic acid, vitamin C. So there are no problems with this.
But with a flake of the color of sodium nitrite, not everything is so smooth. Despite the fact that sodium nitrite (E-250) is permitted in Ukraine, it is a strong carcinogen that is able to cause cancer. So! But is used in order to give products from meat (in our case-sausages) a natural pink-brown color.

9. Marking. This is probably one of the highest quality markings that we saw in the process of our tastings. On a relatively small label, all the data is very successfully placed – from the manufacturer to the composition, production date and ISO. Everything is clearly visible and readable!

As you can see, the clean mass of the product is 391 grams. that even a little more than the manufacturer on the packaging indicated.
13. Type and aroma. This is how sausages look after we got them out of packaging.
As you can see, after removing the protective film, pigmented strips from the same strips on the film remained on the sausage. What is it, the manufacturer’s idea, or a technological shortage? It is not clear, but these strips clearly show that the sausage was a little “painted” from above (we remember nitrite sodium).
As we wrote in an article about the choice of sausages, if you drop a little iodine on it and this drop turns blue, then the manufacturer added a lot of starch to the product and very little meat. Check.
Well, the drop did not turn blue, the color remained the same as it was before applying iodine to the sausage. Therefore, we can argue that the manufacturer really used the meat as the main ingredient.
Then boil the sausages.
As you can see, the sausages were a little swollen. And this means that the manufacturer probably added a certain amount of starch to the product.
After removing the film, we see that the pigmented stripes still remained on the product, but the appearance and aroma of sausages in itself is quite natural. Smells if not meat, then the meat product is definitely.
14. Taste. We liked the sausages. Really “meat”, not fat, juicy, although here you immediately remember the same polyphosphates. But, if you abstract from this fact, then these sausages taste almost perfect. Do not feel anything superfluous.
