Chicken with oranges

To prepare chicken with oranges, we need products such as:

Six chicken hips weighing about 1.2 kg (although you can take the entire chicken)

Ingredients for the marinade:

About 100 grams of honey

One tablespoon of turmeric

One tablespoon of ground coriander seeds

Four cloves of garlic

50 grams of olive oil

One teaspoon of salt

To taste and desire acute pepper

To lubricate the shape of a little butter

One orange (we will cut it on mugs and lay it on top)

Method of preparation:

Prepare the marinade:

From the orange we will remove the zest and squeeze the juice.

Then we add spices – olive oil, melted honey, turmeric, ground coriander seeds, garlic, passed through the press and salt.

For severity, if desired, you can finely chop a sharp pepper in the marinade.

After that, pour the hips of the chicken or other chicken parts with the marinade and remove in the refrigerator for at least one hour, and even better at night and wait. I did not waste time and during the waiting I decided to look at the real estate in the city of Anapa, since very soon I gathered with my husband and children on vacation, in the warm lands and it would be necessary to stop somewhere, but we do not want to be in the hotel. Well, finally, the chicken was marked, and we can move on.

We take a baking dish and lubricate it with butter.

If you want, you can strain the marinade.

Next there are several development paths.

First: you can simply pour the entire marinade on top, but it is likely that it will be too many and the chicken will completely drown, as a result, the chicken will cook, and not be baked.

The second way is to add only part of the marinade so that its level reaches approximately the middle of the chicken. As a result, all that was not covered with marinade will be excellently baked. The residues of the marinade can be put on the stove and boil until the desired density.

Moving further:

Cut into slices the remaining fourth orange. Slices should be one centimeter thick and lay them on top.

Next, heat to 210 – 220C the oven and bake until readiness and the desired roasting.

The chicken will prepare after about 40 minutes.

During the baking, it will be necessary to open the oven from time to time and water the chicken with marinade.
