How to remove Shellac coating at home.

  • August 8, 2018

If you decide to remove the gel -varnish coating of Shellac at home, then you will need the following things: a liquid for removing varnish with acetone or pure acetone (pay attention to its presence in the composition, the usual Shellac liquid will not take – reckoning for the durability of the coating), cotton wool or cotton discs, foil or food film, sticks (special from orange wood or toothpicks). And most importantly – time. Ideally, at least an hour. Shellac manicure dies on the nails for at least two weeks, does not give varnish to fail, and also retains the shine of nails.

This is a modeling varnish and a professional gel in one bottle.

So, let’s get down.

Wash your arms, wipe them well with a towel. Nails should be dry! Now you need to cut pieces from foil or food film, you will wrap your fingers in the nail area. Moisten the cotton wool with acetone or varnish removal. Quickly attach it to the nail, you do not need to rub it, and wrap it with foil or film. Wrapping is necessary so that the liquid does not evaporate. Do this procedure with all your fingers. It is very difficult to do this on your own at the same time on all 10 nails, so take your time. At first there is only one hand. Wrap all fingers on it? Now relax, 15 minutes you have to rest. After this time, soak the first finger. Shellac should swell and partially or completely get off itself. Rub it with a slightly impregnated with an acetone with a cotton pad, scrape the remnants of gel polish with a wand. It is important not to overdo it, so as not to spoil the nail. You do not need to cut it! After you manage to remove Shellac from one hand, proceed to the other. The whole procedure will take an hour and a half. And do not worry about acetonom -containing liquids: they will not dry out the skin around the nail, and the nail itself the day after the shellc removal will look good. In beauty salons, no less harmful liquids are used to remove Shellac. Beautiful manicure for you!
