The name of the brand
The word “panelnia” selected as the name of the brand has several meanings, but all of them are somehow connected with Hungary.
Initially, the panel of the habitat of the Pannonets (the people of the Indo -European group of languages), who occupied a significant part of modern Hungary, was called the panel. In 9-10, Pannonia became part of the Roman Empire, and in VII in. n. e. One of the first Slavic states was formed on its territory-the Pannon Principality, which lasted only a few decades and destroyed under the onslaught of conquerors-maids who became the ancestors of the modern Hungarian people.
Western Slavic mythology considers Pannonia as the homeland of all Slavs. According to legend mentioned in the “Great Polish Chronicle”, “Pannonia is the mother and ancestor of all Slavic peoples … Three brothers, sons of Pan, the lords of the Pannons, of which the firstborn had the name Lech were born, the second – the third – the Czech”.
Nowadays, the word “pannonia” is most often used as the old name of Hungary in the historical and geographical sense.
Design
Pannonia design consistent with the general concept of the brand as “modern classics of Tokai wines”. To emphasize the special, new style of wines is called upon an unconventional burgundy bottle for the Tokai region. The combination of classics and modernity is reflected in the design of the label.
The central element of the label is a classic Hungarian pattern, made in an ornamental technique used in the Old Slavic fabric. On the Pannonia label, the original plant ornament acquired a modern understanding – a variegated, screaming design, characteristic of the traditional Hungarian style, replaced with a restrained palette of colors, more understandable for modern Russian consumers.
National Hungarian motifs are reflected in other details of the labels – stylized fonts, color scheme (the design of the Hungarian flag is used in the design) and the compositional structure.
