General advice for nursing mothers

  • October 24, 2018

Many questions from young mothers begin to arise as their life changes. And if during pregnancy they are already accustomed to certain diets and restrictions, then how to behave in a new status of a nursing mother?

The first and main question that excites all without exception is what the nutrition of the nursing mother should be, not fully realizing that, along with the correct diet, there are still a lot of nuances. Therefore, for all young nursing moms, a few tips.

It is very desirable to eat right, dividing the daily diet into 5-6 receptions per day. Moreover, completely excluding products such as::

– Alcoholic drinks

– Coffee -containing drinks

– Strongly brewed tea

– Fat foods

– Acute food

– smoked meats

– spicy products

– confectionery (use is allowed only in strictly moderate doses)

– various kinds of semi -finished products

– food with the content of dyes and preservatives

– I write, which causes increased gas formation in the baby.

Drink at least two liters of fluid during the day. It can be teas, compotes from dried fruits and so on. The use of milk should be reduced, since it is milk that provokes the occurrence of intestinal colic in the baby. You can purchase specialized teas for nursing women in pharmacies. Such teas can increase lactation.

Pay special attention to your own vacation (try so that your night sleep lasts at least eight hours, and try to combine a daytime sleep with the baby’s sleep). Ask your relatives or husband to help around the house. Make sure that the rest is as full as possible.

Do not give too much attention to insignificant business, since they take a lot of effort necessary for more important, urgent and necessary things.

So far, lactation is not normalized, as much as possible put the baby to the chest (if possible, then every hour – one and a half).

Since heat contributes to stimulation of a tide of milk, before each feeding, do breast massage under the shower.

Before restoration of lactation, when there is an urgent need, express additional milk.

It is not necessary to avoid feeding at night, since it is at night that a woman stands out in a prolactin – a hormone that stimulates lactation.

You will need: lynx meat, potatoes, onions, sour cream, garlic, vegetable oil, black pepper ground. My friends told me about this recipe when we were fishing on the Volga River, then I almost forgot fishing tackle, it’s good that they reminded me of them.
