Cranberry jelly is at the same time a delicious, healthy and natural dessert that will appeal to both children and adults. For its preparation, you can use fresh or frozen berries. This simple recipe allows you to maintain all the beneficial properties of cranberries in the finished jelly, and this is what you need for a growing organism.
To prepare a dessert, you will need:
– Cranberry 200 gr. (1 cup)
– Sugar 100 gr. (half a glass)
– gelatin 15 gr. (1 tbsp. spoon with a slide)
– water
– Gauze, sieve, push
How to cook jelly from cranberries:
Draise gelatin and put to swell. If a rapidly -soluble gelatin is used, dissolve according to the instructions in a small amount of boiling water.
Sort out cranberries, rinse, throw it on a colander and let it drain. Then thoroughly crush the berries with a wooden push.
Squeeze out crushed berries through gauze, put the resulting juice in the cold. The juice is separated so that it is not subjected to heat treatment during cooking, and all the beneficial properties and vitamins are preserved in the finished dessert.
Pour the remaining cake with two glasses of water, bring to a boil and cook for 10 minutes over low heat.
Strain the decoction, add sugar and prepared gelatin. Stiring to bring to a boil, but do not boil, otherwise gelatin will lose its properties.
Cool the resulting mixture to room temperature and pour cranberry juice. Stir well. If necessary, strain the mixture again. Pour into cremas or molds and refrigerate for about 2 hours. It is categorically impossible to put jelly in the freezer, there the mass will cross.
Get the jelly from the refrigerator, free from molds, if the jelly does not leave the shape, lower its bottom for a couple of seconds in boiling water.
